Ludisia is a genus of orchids that was thought to contain just one species, Ludisia discolours, commonly referred to as jewel orchid. Ludisia discolour is native to Southern China, Northeast India, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar, and often cultivated.
Caring for Ludisia
1) It is a terrestrial orchid, it has to be grown in soil. Use African violet soil mix
2) They do well in humid environments with little temperature fluctuations
3) Keep in bright conditions with no direct sun to avoid burning the leaves
4) Keep them moist and don't let them dry out
5) Fertilise regularly using African violet fertiliser
